Happy New Year!!

Now going into our 2nd week of 2011, we're probably due for an update.

Right out of the gate 2011 is shaping up to be a big year for SoftLight with quite a few projects already in the works.

With the production dates set in stone for early May, Greg is busy working away on revising his next short script which was originally titled "The Comedian", but has since changed and is yet to be named.

We're still doing final touches on The Dance, Second Hand Smoke and When You're Gone, but all are expected to be completed by about April, then off to the festival circuit!!

Meanwhile we also have a feature in the works. I can't go into too much detail as of yet but this is something I've been working on for quite a while now and am excited to get it out there and into production; hopefully by the fall.

Well that's all for now, keep coming back and see what we're getting ourselves into next.

Peace,
Will

What's Next?

With winter just around the corner, we here at SoftLight have lots on the go...

As we finish up the sound edit on both When You're Gone and Second Hand Smoke, we'll also be putting the finishing touches on The Dance before shipping them all off to festivals worldwide.

Greg is busy working on his next script; a Coen brothers styled short, in the form of a thriller with big questions for society.

As for myself, I'm almost done the first draft of a feature film tentatively titled Buddy Hoppy. A buddy road trip comedy with a heart. The plan is to go into production in the fall of 2011, so there is lots to keep us pre-occupied and warm during the upcoming months.

Stray Dogs, and a teaser

Four weeks later I'm back from filming Cinegraphe Productions latest feature titled Stray Dogs. A comedic, crime caper with a twist, sure to delight audiences. I fullfilled the role of 1st Assistant Director this time around, and with quite a few familiar faces back on the crew, and talent to brag about, was happy to do so.

Back at it, here's a teaser from SoftLight's upcoming release titled "When You're Gone", expected to be completed this summer.
